February Meeting This Saturday at Baymeadows. Check
out what's coming up in HOG world, hang with your friends, and use
your 10% HOG discount this weekend for our first 2018 meeting at
Baymeadows. After the meeting we take a short ride to 4 Rivers
Smokehouse for what else? BBQ, Excellent BBQ, that is. From Ribs to
Burnt Ends and Fried Okra. A
new place for us!

we are off to Renegades in Crescent City. Enjoy some country
roads, eat while looking out to the St John's River, and play with
the alligator.

Initially, we thought that we might have to cancel
this trip because we couldn't find any affordable lodgings.
But persistence prevailed and we have a super place at a super
price. The only thing is that we cannot block out rooms and
it will be first come first served.
We will be staying at the Sunrise Suites, Key West (305)
296-6661. Each suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We have
a special rate with Kasia (ask for her when making
reservation). The cost per suite is $ 767.05 for the three
nights and can be split with another couple ($ 384 each). We can
leave the bikes at the lodging as there is a shuttle that will take
us downtown each day. Please
note there is a 10% cancellation fee and you can cancel up to 30
days in advance.
For the trip details: We will be
leaving on Friday morning, May 18th and riding straight to Key
West.
Saturday and Sunday in Key West.
Monday morning - return trip to St Augustine.
Right now they have 18 suites available, but that can
change quickly. Best to act quickly. Once you have made your

Cool Ride
Coming - February 18th
From Tim: "February
17th we are headed West, over to Gainesville HD and Mexican Cuisine
at La Fiesta Restaurante Mexicano. However, prior to visiting the
Dealership (or eating); we are stopping at the Devil's
Millhopper. The Devil's Millhopper is the only tropical rain-forest
you can right your Harley to in the United States from where we
live. For just $2 per bike, walk down 220 steps of pressure
treated lumber into a subterranean limestone sinkhole of tropical
wonder and unearthly delights! In the early 70's university
students used the site as a party spot with natural acoustics for
music - it's rumored Tom Petty played at the bottom of the pit in
1971. Anyway, the Devi's Millhopper is now a Geological State
Park with a very nice parking lot for all our Harleys. Hope
you can make this trip..."
Tid Bits
Ride Smart Not Available In Jacksonville - Last week we
reported that Ride Smart was available in Jacksonville. It
seems that they have not received their funding for this, so it is
not available at this time. We will keep you posted if that
changes.
2018 Dues Renewal Reminder
If you haven't done so yet, it is
time to renew your Ancient City Chapter membership for 2018.
HOG requires a new enrollment form for each
year. You can download the form or fill it out online
and print. Then mail it, bring it to a ride, or bring to
the February meeting at Baymeadows. Your choice. Here
