Meeting Update-Nominations
Progressive Pink Ride
Thanks everyone for turning out at the
meeting. We had a good turn out for the Progressive Pink
Ride, it is for a great cause. Bob Bloom is framing one of the tee
shirts and will be making a display along with a picture and
appreciation trophy to display at our new meeting place when the
new dealership opens.
Nominations
It was the first month of nominations. We
need a new Director and Assistant Director for 2019. The only two
nominations were Terry Alexander for Director and Cliff Gandy for
Assistant Director. Both accepted. If anyone has anyone they would
like to nominate for these positions, they have one more month. We
will have nominations again at the November meeting and vote at the
same meeting.
Patch Ceremony
We also had a patch ceremony to show
appreciation to our members who go the extra mile for the club.
Fred Harris was announced as the new Historian and was presented
with his patch. Kurt Schroeder, our new Secretary, was presented
with the Secretary patch. Bob Bloom earned his Road Captain status
and was presented with the Road Captain patch. This new tradition
will be continued next meeting for Christine Collinson, Ladies of
Harley and Ralph Collinson- Road Captain, and Lyle Lowe-Road
Captain. Possibly a couple more depending on how the election goes.
Membership Dues and
Sale
Dues for year-$20
It's not too early to start paying our
dues. They are $20 and this is probably the best bargain I get all
year.
Sale
I'm also happy to announce a sale. If
anyone knows any potential members or perhaps a new member who may
be putting off signing up a spouse because its late in the year,
don't wait. Pay the dues now and they will be good for the rest of
this year and through 2019. By the way, this is a good time to
remind those who bring guests, there is a two ride or event limit.
Two rides or events is plenty enough time to see how wonderful
Ancient City HOG is. So remind your guests to pay up and join the
fun.
UP
& COMING
Biketoberfest
Biketoberfest this year is October 18 - 21.
In addition to all the other festivities don't forget to check out
our dealer. Go by and see Renie at Saint Augustine and buy a tee
shirt. Did you know she designs her own tees for the St. George
Street store? They are really cool and that's the only place you
can get them. By the way its always a nice gesture to wear an Adamec
tee shirt to our meetings to show we appreciate them.

This Saturdays ride is to
The Great Outdoors restaurant in High Springs. We will meet at the Race Trac on
SR207 at I95 at 8:30am...KSU 9am. Our leader will be Fred and Alan

events they would like to lead and sweep. However remember you
don't have to be a Road Captain to lead a ride. If you have
someplace you would like to take the chapter this is the time to do
it. There is also an Officer's Meeting before the Activities
Meeting. It all starts at 5:00 but feel free to show up early and

Tid Bits
Big
Thanks
Thanks to Merle and Bob for
leading this ride to the Progressive Pink festivities and staging
for the fantastic police escorted parade ride through the city and
country side. Thanks also to the two Biker Bobs (Bewsee and Bloom)
for all they did behind the scenes to make this much needed and
appreciated event to benefit our community.
Also a big thanks to Cliff Gandy who helped me plan, pre-ride,
execute and sweep the ride to Mojo's Grill and Catering in Silver
Springs - E. Ocala. Everyone had a good time on roads I've never
been on before. The food was good and the Stairway To Heaven
amusing.
