Thoughts on being a Road Captain? When first approached, I didn’t think much of it; we had really enjoyed just riding along. But after thinking about it, I want to step up and lead some rides, maybe find a new destination or route that has not been traveled. Obviously, with this bunch, I may have bitten off more than I can chew! Ultimately, however, we want to contribute in any way we can.

Thoughts on being a Road Captain? When I was first asked to be a Road Captain by Joe D I asked, "why me". He replied, "Because you know where the good roads are," and I was flattered to be asked, so I accepted Joe's offer. I've been a Road Captain with our group since 2008, and I've loved every minute of it. It's especially rewarding when a rider says, "Wow, I didn't know about that road," or "Great ride, thanks". Certainly, a primary reason is to give back to the Club that I've enjoyed all these years. I've never been one to lie back; participation is in my blood.
