WOW!
What a meeting we had!! Almost 100 Members showed up last
Saturday for the first meeting of 2020 and our
Chapter Picture! Even with the extra seating provided we
still had standing room only!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!
A quick recap follows and please keep this Newsletter handy
for future reference.
NEW: We now have a "Points Of Contact"
page on our website so you now know who to send your questions to
regarding your Ancient City Chapter. Please, always refer to
this page before emailing a question. Sending it to the right
Chapter contact will certainly get you a quicker answer.
NEW: We offered a motion for
Membership approval for our first 2020
Charitable Donation of $1,000.00. The
motion was discussed and passed unanimously!! Ancient
City Chapter, on your behalf, will be donating $300.00 to K9s for
Warriors, $300.00 to Unity Pink, $300.00 to the Clyde Lassen
Veterans Home and $100.00 to Rodeheaver Boys Ranch.
Every one of these Charities is local and for each one listed ALL
donations go directly to the recipients of that Charity!! Now
you know what we do with some of our money!
NEW: We announced a new REWARDS
PROGRAM for all members participating in
"Ride 365", a
2020 Harley Ride contest separate from the HOG Mileage Program.
(But your miles will count for both!!)
In a nutshell, submit
your odometer reading ON or BEFORE the Sunday preceding our Monthly
meeting and you just may WIN a $20.00
Gift Card at the next meeting. Kenny
Thompson (Thanks Kenny!!) will administer the program making it
really easy to participate and we're currently working on those
details but, if you haven't already done it, walk to your bike NOW,
take a picture of your VIN# and your Odometer reading,
we'll tell you what to do with it soon!
Your
mileage contributes to the overall mileage accumulated by the
Chapter and we're counting on you to help!! So
ride, ride and then ride some more but certainly have fun doing
it!!!
NEW: We also announced another REWARDS
PROGRAM for all members that go on any
Chapter sponsored ride wearing
our Chapter Colors!
(IE: a vest with our patches, a Chapter T-Shirt, a Chapter Pin or
Hat). Each
month starting NOW we will randomly pick a ride,
give a entry ticket to anyone wearing Chapter Colors
and at the destination we'll draw the lucky Member who gets a $20.00 Gift
Card!
Details on both of these new Rewards Programs are in the works and
will be posted on our website, hopefully within a few days.
Also, the Chapter Picture came out
great so after just a little bit of tweaking it will appear on our
home page and in our photo gallery very soon!
Again my sincere THANK
YOU to all who attended the meeting and are helping
to make this the best Chapter ever!! We simply can't do any
of this without you and do know that you are appreciated!!!
