Immediate Attention Required
If you are one of the few that have not sent in your Membership Enrollment Form and Waiver, please do so. And Road Captains, lets not get lax about checking at the rides. As I write this, there are still some out there. I apologize again for the inconvenience but it is for your own protection. Please work with us and lets get this behind us. BTW if you see someone that is not compliant, just get them to sign the form. Jere has graciously agreed to fill in the details.

Safety Tip of the Week 

Stickers – No Not The Obnoxious Kind

I have FDOT stickers if anyone is interested. If not I still encourage everyone to heed the warning that is on them.

Remember this in case you are ever close to a motorcycle accident victim. Most bikers know this, hopefully, but please, be on guard against well meaning helpers at an accident scene. Usually, there will be many there, all are not riders.

Monthly Meeting
Meeting for will be Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the VFW-6184 US 1 South, St. Augustine. Please join us for coffee at 9:00 a.m. and the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m.  A short ride to  Martin's Restaurant in Flagler will follow.

Annual Chapter Picnic - May 4

Our annual chapter picnic this year is actually a buffet at Shrimp-R-Us in Welaka. That's 765 3rd Avenue which is also SR 309 for the few who may be unfamiliar with one of our favorite places to eat and gather. The price is $15.95 for all you can eat, including non alcohol beverages and dessert. To me its mostly about their shrimp but there is different kinds of chicken also which is nice for those with shellfish allergies. This is a really fun event. It is under an outside pavilion with plenty of room to mingle with old friends and meet new ones.
Hopefully there will be a ride attached to this event so watch the calendar for details.

The dead line for signing up is April 26. I would ask that if you sign up and decide you can't make it please cancel before April 26 or you will be on the hook for payment. We are not asking for payment in advance.

Overnighter - June 1 & 2  Crystal River and Weeki Wachee
 
The information on our first over nighter is on the calendar. A ride to the gulf, meet and lunch with another HOG Chapter, visit a new dealership, dinner and socializing with friends, a mermaid show in a spring, what's there not to like?  
Meet at SR 207 and I-95 at 8;30 a.m. KSU at 9:00 a.m. Ride to Crystal River to meet and have lunch with Crystal River HOG. Ride to their new dealership and if time permits, visit Homosassa Springs. Then it's off to the hotel for happy hour and dinner. Sunday head for Weeki Wachee Springs around 8:00 a.m. for the mermaid show. Ralph will lead. Sweep TBA. Overnight accommodations are booked under Ancient City Harley Davidson at the Best Western Crystal River Resort. For those who went on the overnight a couple of years ago to Homosassa Springs this is the same hotel we stayed at, right on the river in Crystal River. Dinner will be at Cracker's Restaurant which is located next door to the hotel The restaurant and the hotel both have Tikki Bars for our convenience. Right now I have 15 rooms blocked at the hotel They have given us a rate of $109.00 as long as we rent at least 10 rooms. The block will stand until the end of April at that time the rooms will be released. Please call 352-795-3171 to book your room. Ask for the Ancient City Harley Davidson Block.
